Royal Rooster: Exquisite Chinese Hot Pot Experience in Little Neck, NY

A unique hotpot spot with great service! I’ve never had this coconut water style hotpot before and didn’t know what to expect. It surprisingly was really tasty! The chicken in the hot pot is also very tender. I also got the pork ribs which were very well cooked. Overall a unique meal worth a try

Royal Rooster in Little Neck, Queens is a true find! We dined as a family and enjoyed an unforgettable meal with an impressive lineup of dishes. We started with the Coconut and Fresh Chicken Soup and the Cordyceps Flower and Chicken Soup – both were wonderfully rich and clean-tasting, with no hint of MSG. The restaurant’s theme is coconut, infusing it into almost every dish, adding a subtle, unique twist to the flavors. We tried the Duck and Taro Casserole stewed in coconut broth, which was flavorful and hearty, and the Stewed Beef with Curry, which also had a hint of coconut that enhanced the curry’s aroma. This coconut infusion added a special touch without overpowering the dishes. The Stir-Fried Beef Flat Noodles captured that perfect smoky flavor from the wok, and their signature chili sauce added a delightful kick. The Hainanese Chicken, their specialty, was incredibly tender, and the homemade ginger and scallion sauce brought out its flavor beautifully. The Claypot Rice stole the show – the lightly crispy layer on the bottom added amazing texture without any bitterness. You can tell the chef has mastered the balance of heat. I also heard the chef trained at a renowned hotel in Guangzhou, China, which is clear in the authenticity and quality of each dish. To wrap up the meal, we tried their Coconut Sago Dessert and the Coconut Pudding, served in an actual coconut. Both desserts were just the right amount of sweet – light, refreshing, and perfect for cleansing the palate. With such reasonable prices for this level of quality, Royal Rooster is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Cantonese flavors. Highly recommend!

The place was nice and beautiful!! The food was off the hook but kinda small!!! The beef chow fun is off the hook!! Everything was off the hook but the the pork belly over preserve vegetable was all fat… also there was a waiter with orange hair that was standing a table over and was picking his ear and then touching his nose and then picking his skin off his nails WTH!?? and was serving us with no gloves on after!?!?

Great service! This place is cozy and welcoming. They do Hong Kong style and the food tastes authentic to me. Especially recommend the hainan chicken and Coconut chicken hotpot!

We ordered the Coconut with Chicken for two at Royal Rooster Restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. The soup and chicken were delicious, with a broth made from fresh coconut that added a wonderful depth of flavor. Their special hot sauce paired perfectly with the chicken, enhancing the dish beautifully.

We’re here for bestie’s pre-bday celebration. Server was extra attentive and super nice! Location was great! We ordered the coconut chicken hotpot and a pig knuckle with peanuts. The hotpot soup base was fragrant and light. We even had a complimentary side dish and free drinks. Will definitely be back!

I love hot pot and couldn't to try! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was sat. I was served by a nice man. I had: House Special Coconut chicken combo Steamed egg with shrimp baby shrimp egg fried rice The food was good just needed a bit of salt. I really liked the house special with the ramen! All in all it was a good experience.

I am a big fan of coconut chicken hotpot. The Coco rooster at Exit 23 of 495 is temporarily closed so I visited the one at Little Neck here. Must-try: coconut chicken hotpot, green chili sauce Compare to the original restaurant: The hotpot menu is similar but offers fewer options for the dishes. It is also slightly pricier. We ordered the signature set for two people and a curry potato chicken, with tax and tips is comes to about $60 per person. Food: The flavor is delightful. My recommendation is to savor a few bowls of soups first and boil the ingredients afterwords. Their green chili sauce is a favorite of mine. Note that it is very spicy. Parking: Street parking.
